Girls Learn by Succeeding Together: TSEA's voyages offer more
than learning about the ocean and sailing, they offer students a chance to test
themselves, to accomplish real feats, and in the process, to discover their
individual strengths. They become journeys of personal growth.
A ship at sea provides an extraordinary setting for this growth. Research into
girls' development shows that relationships built around teamwork are central
to fostering healthy identities. Our rigorous programs challenge each girl,
both individually and as part of a team, and help her rise to meet that
challenge.As our students sail away from the city and find their sea legs, they
discover new confidence as sailors, scholars and shipmates. TSEA runs the only
all-girls comprehensive sail training programs in the country. Explore these

TSSG combines land based training with six week of voyaging on a tall ship into
an exciting semester of hands-on learning.

GSS is modeled on TSSG and offers experiential academic credit during the
summer. The 2008 course will run from June 23-July 29, 2008.
